Best Players of all time? Have your say
by Michelle Finch
Joe Pelletier at Legends of Hockey is looking for reader input on the Top 36 Players of all time.
I’d add to the debate, but when you consider I idolized Rick Wamsley growing up, I think all would agree it’s best I stay silent.
Seriously.

I’m a bit partial to Wayne Gretzky and Ted Lindsay, but then I’m a Red Wings fan.

I’ve always leaned towards goaltender when it comes to anything pre-90s (not sure why), so I’d give you Terry Sawchuk no problem (if we’re talking Red Wings). ;-)
I think Gretzky is hard to argue, but you’ll get a lot of debate on Lindsay. Gordie Howe? Rocket Richard?

Gretzky is a legend unto himself…Lindsay can’t compare to him but he did a lot for Detroit hockey!

Can’t argue that! Would you put Yzerman in there too, considering the state of hockey in Detroit when he was a rookie?
